Driven by a vision to strengthen food security through technology, Susan founded Greenphyto in 2014, combining her expertise in manufacturing, automation, and supply chain management to pioneer a new approach to farming.
Recognised Leadership
An award-winning entrepreneur, Susan’s accolades include EY Entrepreneur of the Year Singapore (2014) and Her World Singapore Woman of the Year (2019). She was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2023 and continues to lead Greenphyto’s mission to transform agriculture through automation, AI, and sustainable food production.

2011–2014
From Community Farming to a New Vision
While leading Greenpac, Susan launches a rooftop hydroponics initiative to explore sustainable urban farming and give back to the local community through fresh produce.
2014–2024
Building the Future of Automated Farming
Driven by this vision, Susan founds Greenphyto and participates in an AVA food fund competition. With seed funding secured, she builds the first prototype farm.
2024–2025
From Prototyping to Commercialisation
The Greenphyto Flagship Farm is completed, becoming both a commercial-scale production facility and a living R&D environment.
2026
Scaling the future of food production
Greenphyto’s flagship farm officially opens — a fully operational commercial farm and R&D centre, and the world’s tallest indoor vertical farm.
Greenphyto designs and builds fully automated vertical farming systems and facilities for partners, enabling them to operate high-efficiency production farms.
Alongside these deployments, Greenphyto continues to run its own commercial flagship farm at scale — producing up to 2,000 tonnes annually — serving as a live R&D and validation platform to continuously refine and advance its technology for global deployment.

Former CEO of Viscon Group, where he led the company’s international growth and innovation in industrial and horticultural automation solutions over a 27-year career. Co-founded Unifortes, a provider of advanced cleaning systems and logistics solutions serving multiple industries. Brings extensive experience in technical innovation, entrepreneurship, business transformation, and scaling global organisations.
Marc Liu
Global Director, Operations
Former Head of Asset Management at Keppel Infrastructure Trust, responsible for a diversified infrastructure portfolio of approximately $9 billion across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Brings over 25 years of international experience in operations, asset management, project development and business transformation, with leadership roles across the Temasek and Keppel infrastructure platforms, spanning energy, utilities, water, chemicals, renewable energy and digital infrastructure sectors. CFA Charterholder, Senior Accredited Director (SID_SRAD).
Liow Wei Quan
Chief Digital Officer
Brings over a decade of experience in digital innovation and enterprise technology, having held leadership and product management roles supporting organisations such as ByteDance, Grab, Singtel, and NCS. His expertise spans artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, embedded systems, and large-scale digital transformation. At Greenphyto, he leads the development of AI-powered autonomous farming systems and Industry 5.0 initiatives.
Poh Chin Peng
Chief Technical Officer
AgTech inventor and primary technical architect of Greenphyto’s proprietary vertical farming systems. Holds multiple patents addressing the mechanical and electrical challenges of ultra-tall indoor cultivation. Extensive experience in engineering high-yield, scalable agricultural technologies.
Benjamin Ng
VP Manufacturing
VP of Manufacturing at Greenphyto. Former Chief Production Officer at Greenpac, overseeing manufacturing, engineering, and off-site operations for over 17 years. Extensive experience in production management, process optimisation, and scaling manufacturing operations.

Founder & Managing Director of Advanced Holdings Ltd, an SGX listed engineering science company with significant experience in technical and commercial management. Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2013 & EY Entrepreneur of the year 2014.

CEO of PersolKelly Asia Pacific, a HR solutions company. Experienced in strategic business development and operational management. Rotary-ASME Top Entrepreneur of the Year 2012.
Thomas Teo
Director
Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer at GK Goh Holdings Pte Ltd, an established family office in Singapore. He sits on the board of several commercial organisations in Singapore and Australia, and is also the Chairman of Assisi Hospice.
